This position provides software maintenance support for the Countermeasures Set Acoustic (CSA) Mk II and CSA Mk III systems at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division at Keyport WA. The successful candidate will be the primary software developer for problem/enhancement investigation, solution design, code development, software documentation, developmental testing, integration, integration test. An ability to professionally interface with customer representatives, end users, and program level personnel is required.
There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.
The ideal candidate for this position will have hands on experience with Submarine Counter Measures Systems. Travel is anticipated to system sites and program meeting sites for the purpose of defect investigation, enhancement design coordination or program coordination.

Must have the following education/skills/
Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline/major and a year of more of related work experience
Eligible to obtain and maintain final DoD Secret security clearance, within a reasonable amount of time (as determined by business needs) after an interim DoD Secret clearance is granted. Offer of employment will be contingent upon selected candidate''s ability to obtain an interim DoD Secret security clearance within 60 days of written offer acceptance (US Citizenship is required)
Adequate C and C+
languages skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and skills
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of work time
Ability to function as an effective member of a successful team
Perferred to have skills/
Experience:
Experience with Submarine Countermeasures Systems
Experience with NUWC Keyport In-Service Engineering support programs and functions
Active DoD Secet security clearance
Four or more years of professional work experience as a Software Developer Operating System experience with Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Real Time embedded software development including: C and Assembler code for Intel 8051 compatible microcontrollers and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS, including custom kernel development
Experience in Linux network configuration and management
Experience with Linux Security features and implementation
Experience in Software Configuration Management
Experience with Agile programming
